Someone here will know much though maybe not all.
I think these are called Kilims.

    Not kilims, King.

Welcome, migutz! Since these "Persian" or "Turkish" designs are timeless, it will be helpful for you to post pictures of the undersides and fringe ends of these rugs.

A Kilim is a flat woven rug, characterized by blocks of color - not nearly as detailed as what these rugs have. There are so many different regional and sometimes tribal names, we need to see these more closely to get a general idea of where and when.

Wheretheheckistan rugs are just confusing to me I guess. :)
I only own one, like new, and it's an Afghanistan 'war' rug.

if they are small enough they could be prayer rugs..

    Hi,
All of the TRUE prayer rugs I have seen all have a point of where the rug should be placed facing Mecca. I have also seen thousands of smaller rugs all called prayer rugs.

Neither of these is a true "prayer rug" - their design usually includes that "point" at one end of the central field (mentioned by Greg) which honors the direction of Mecca. The first rug isn't one because it has "diagonals" not points and at both ends.

not really......I was reffering to the type not the size.....the 1st one seemed to have a point.......I'll look closer next time.

Yes, those are botehs in the central field of the second rug. But I'm still going to wait for the additional promised pictures of underside and fringe ends before going any further.

& you'd be right to do that cuz I ain't no Persian rug expert.....but the boteh...and surrounding flower design was enough for me to consider it as a place to perhaps , maybe , look towards !

You know how opinions and suggestions can get folks here looking in a direction that can help confirm or deny speculation about any given item.

If we were all to wait until every last photo or scrap of info from the OP showed up on the thread............there's be no suggestions here at all.!

Point made. But this particular area is so fraught with issues - especially the longterm use of the same design elements over and over, but with modern dyes and modern methods (read "machine made" and HandMade in Pakistan and China) that caution seems the best way in my view. Migutz says he has been told they are "over 100 years old" - but his question is how to tell age. The details I've asked for should help to answer his question.
