Nothing with labels can be called clutter.

I agree. I keep looking at the other photos, and thinking "I could use that. I want that. That looks interesting." etc., etc.

Nothing that takes up less than one wall can be called clutter.

Is that a Piece of Rindskopf and Kralik on the top shelf of your picture?

That ain't clutter - they are ALL an OCD sufferer's DREAM ....... I could alphabetize, colorize, size, match, opposite-tize, minimize, maximize, and catalouge for WEEKS! Let me open an "inventory" excel spread sheet and start with .........................

It looks like I'm at the right place LOL! I haven't taken any photos but mine looks pretty much the same and frankly anything I'm planning to sell is inventoried in excel! (and still looks like a heap :p)

First I'll show you hubby's hoard. He never met a doorknob he could part with. You know, he might need a part or something. Note the layers of dust. Some of these haven't been touched since he opened the shop in 1978.

Now, I confess, the two car garage and the porch. Up until last year, we could park both cars in the garage and I could walk the length of the porch. Then we did some remodeling and we acquired a bunch of stuff from houses we worked in. I use the bubble wrap for shipping my paintings and we don't have a cellar or closet space 2014-09-12 19.40.38 (800x600).jpg .

I am SO HAPPY to see all these photos - except yours Davey.:D
I have been feeling depressed lately because it's a major chore to fight my way across any of the four rooms where I store stuff. Some of yours are as bad as some of mine! :shame::kiss::joyful:

Birds of a feather. We love Davey anyway, even if he is a neat freak.

No one gets to keep things forever. Some things I want to own all my life, and there are many lesser time categories, ....a day, a week, a few years. (Plus, of course, the stuff I save for the museum they'll surely build for my coolest stuff.)

In general after I've learned all I can about something, played with it, and shown it to my friends, I'm ready to find it a new, and hopefully better home.

    I say I'm a 'Trader, w/ Inventory Issues.'

I am kind of a fanatic about the house. My daughter is worse than I am. She labels the shelves in her refrigerator. She says I have the neatest closets of anyone she knows, but since we have closets built in the 1880s that are small and shallow, it's not like I can use them for storage anyway. I just toss everything in the garage. LOL. They guys were out there today moving furniture and filling up the van for tomorrow's recycling run so I'll take another photo when it's not so bad. Plus we have about 20 flats of water leftover from the Battle of Rock Harbor event. I'm sure we'll use it sometime.

I feel yalls pain ! Bear in mind this is AFTER a major clean up/donation haul, not to mention several plastic bins to the shed. That closet is a walk in,and behind that mess is a pine cupboard loaded with glass, dishes, etc ! One wall of my "art" collection, many more in a closet! Some of you might remember the mantel from the "other" board,I still love it ! DSCN2908.JPG DSCN2912.JPG DSCN2905.JPG

I will never say I don't have any more wall space again! I still love that rainy night painting of Times Square best of all.

I love it too,Bev ! And this is only 2 walls, the rest are pretty loaded as well ! The ones above the mantle are all Florida artists,I called myself trying to limit myself that way ! They were all mostly black and white, etchings, lithos, junk, but it started to depress me so I moved into colors. The little butterfly in the lower left of the 2nd pic is the first art I ever bought. I was 16,and its been in every home I ever had, even after I saw 3 of them in a thrift store a few years ago ! So much for being one of a kind !:D
