A bit of fun, you may recall I bought a quantity of ties which I've been selling on Ebay.

These are probably all UK, some obvious, others less so, but I'd welcome confirmation of aircraft depicted.

LOL! ... with 4 jets and 2 props. If the 1st helicopter was in army green or camouflaged in color, i would think it was a big twin bladed Chinook 'copter.

At first I thought the 2nd pic might be a Harrier jet, but isn't bulky enough. Then again it might be a Warthog (A-10 Thunderbolt II).

The 5th pic with the circles on the wings may??? be a Spitfire from WWII?

The big boss in the 8th pic is a delta wing something or other.

I always get Spitfires and Hurricanes silhouettes mixed up!

The "big boss" is one plane I've been in, although it was at Duxford and non operational.

It was one of the staples of UK air shows, in formation flight with the RAF display team

Used to hear Concorde fly over on its way to the States, so loud!

Recall that if the RAF are displaying, you can ask them to divert a short distance off the return course to get an overflight at your village fete .

Only been to the RAF museum at Hendon once, remember the Lightning there, awesome machine!

Thanks, thought it was one but nice to have it confirmed.

Nothing to match it then or now, to the edge of space in seconds.

Gee, #2 looks eeriely like a British equivalent to the U.S. A-10 Thunderbolt known as the Warthog because of how/where the engines are mounted. The silhouette could be dead ringer for the Warthog except for possibly the tail.

Wow, I can't believe I was right on the Chinook! Welllll, living during the Vietnam thing, Chinooks seemed to be in the news daily.

Susan, I think it is too big for a Warthog, Just had a search hit on a VC10 aerial refueling tanker, probably with two RAF tornadoes.
