I have just unpacked some more "old stuff" that managed to make it thru a few downsizing moves. (This one also has something safely packed inside it, which I'll show in another thread!)

Anyway, I can picture exactly where this item was in the house we lived in in the 1980's, so I know it is at least that old. Otherwise, I don't have a clue! (There are no marks, of course...)

Wow, flipper, thanks for finding that. It certainly is quite similar!

Do you really think it could be as old as that seller says his is?

Well....based on how people can manipulate things these days, I would hesitate to answer that. Cloisonne can be very old. You should probably get some more input from the others.

Hope nobody minds if I bump this up. I appreciate Flipper's replies, and I'm wondering if anyone else can add to them?

    Thanks again!

Personally, I do not think it is older than 1950s to when you remember having it in 1980.
I'm basing this on the cobalt base and inside enamel. Usually it is turquoise color.
Also the spacing of the clouds in the background. Older would have been tighter spaced.

I could be wrong. Wait for someone like @Mat or @Silver Wolf

Thanks very much, Cluttered. I was thinking it might even have been brand new when I got it in the 1980's, but I honestly don't know - I just don't remember. The one Flipper linked to gave me quite a start!

they look so similar that I'm going to go out on a ledge and consider that the ebay seller meant to write 1950 -1999...instead of 1850 - 1899.......

This Chinese vase seems at least somewhat similar to your item. Unfortunately, the site seems to be archived... I've had trouble getting pages to open in both Firefox and Chrome.
