Featured got for free at yardsaleyardsale

    I got a box of these from a yardsale. Anyone with experience in china. Could anyone identify year or value

    As far as I can figure from the site linked below.....It dates from 1918......It aslo says (I think) that SEDAN is the first dinnerware pattern made by Noritake. But I may be misunderstanding something. Anyway, scroll down the page to the marks area and look at the 1918 and 1926 marks and read what it says to the right of them.

    Well the key there is the word Nippon. If you read what is written by the 1926 mark.....it explains that Nippon was not supposed to be used after 1890 but somehow some snuck through

    It's a good thing......I have found that collectors prefer NIPPON Marks vs. JAPAN Marks.

    Don't be disappointed when you take it to the antique dealer. May not bring a lot of dollars.

    At auction it might bring 7.5, together.
    China is a hard sell, even in sets.
    You'd do better to sell it online
