An interesting jug for members,will post date later,

I have posted this interesting jug,after seeing the small table sold in America for $57.000,These jugs have sold in America for a lot of money,the prices boosted by a couple of American millonaires ,that had to have nearly every one that came on the market, this companies wally birds are the most expensive items.
Any clues to date? (is on the base)

1900or1999 or 1985 or 1901 or 1975 or 1925 etc
Who can get the exact date?

 

1901 is circa 1900, 1999 is not, neither is 1985 or 1975 or 1925. I don't know these jugs particularly, but unless the piece itself is dated I would imagine it would be hard to pin down an exact year.

 

Hello ,get your point ,this jug is signed and dated ,just having some fun for members, as I said in the post ,will post date latter. May be interesting for people that do not know these jugs. may be boring for the people that know them.

They were very interesting characters, four Brothers,all worked together in the pottery. 1873-1921

yes they did work at Doulton ,but for a very short time ,Edwin was only 12years old when he worked there.

Date on base of jug. Wallace Martin died aged 80 on 10 July 1923 and end of the famous Martin Brothers era.
