The image is tinted a bit and they picked out her brooch in gold paint. That was an upcharge, back when. I bet you can see more in the right lighting. I had a "haunted" one once; the lady's dress only showed its colors when held at the right angle.

Both brooches. On older daughter too. But no cameo. :( I have seen dresses like the one on the younger girl only in paintings of the children of the well-to-do.

$avers. There’s also another so faded I can’t make out the image and an one empty union case and an empty French ormolu miniature frame.

    Savers! Grrr!!
DS#2 lives in the same town as you, and I always tell him how well you do there, and he does shop there, but I guess he's just looking for what he is interested in.
I guess I'll have to go visit and have him take me there so I can shop for what I'm interested in!

Got a small Rio Grande weaving for $3.99 and a Frank Armstrong sterling belt for $5.99. And a painting by a listed Gloucester artist that I haven’t photographed yet.

This is the Gloucester painting and a little unknown windmill painting for $3.99 each, and a signed ox blood teapot that needs research.

Today’s find at a local thrift: a Tapio Wirkkala for Iittala 9 inch tall Gerania vase, designed in 1970. The internet says that this design was in production from 1970-81. It’s supposed to look like melting ice.

Thanks, I’m glad someone does, LOL! I’m not that enamored of it so it’s likely to go up for sale on eBoo. Though I do think it looks “interesting“…

Yep. The snow is coming down here now. ☹️

New addition to my Fenton collection. They had five more of the same candy dish in various colors, but I don't have the room.
