    Hi guys!
My first post on here, as you can probably tell I have no idea when it comes to antiques.

I have acquired this dressing table from a job I’ve been working on.

    It’s still in amazing condition.
I do know that it is 50+ years old. But I would love to know more on this if you wonderful people could please help me!

    kind regards,

    jack

It does look like something from G Plan. I just can’t find a picture of this anywhere online.

    does it have any value?

Where are you located? It certainly has value - a lot of it depends where you are.
    I love it!!!

Aha. OK, late 50s into early 60s. Probably a plastic veneer made to look like wood. These were sold by companies like G Plan and high street chains. It's loosely what's called Mid Century Modern - not vast value, but fun. Have a good look and see if it's got any labels or makrs.

I can’t find any marks on it at all. Thank you for the information!
Would you have a rough estimate of what I could possibly sell this for?

Most welcome. Depends where you try to sell it, a fancy retro shop might ask a hundred quid. I'd try fifty to eighty, see where you go with that. Can you fix the wardrobe at all?

Look like it could be German?

Nah, typically Brit that. Seen loads of them.

I guess they copied the German trend then?

I'm honestly not seeing anything wildly German about it. That plastic veneer was widely used here, and the legs are classic, to coin a phrase. It looks like may other pieces of its time. Especially the shape.
