Image from the movie below. So, yes, I think it was a movie poster.

Rosie O'gradys was a bar in tampa fl , part of the Church street station district . I don't know if its still there , but I got terribly drunk on flaming hurricanes there in the 80s !

This sign commemorates the the first solo Atlantic crossing in the 106,000 cubic foot (3,000 m³) Rosie O'Grady's Balloon of Peace from September 14 to September 18, 1984.

I was thinking that, maybe one of those 70`s posters that people used to display in a frame in the kitchen.
Obviously after the 1969 movie "The Great Bank Robbery"

I'm guessing the balloon was made for the movie and then re-purposed as a commercial promotion and amusement ride for the bi-centennial. The posters were probably sold as souvenirs.

Geez, didn't see this in March - brought back memories of Church Street Station and my ill-spent youth, heading to Phineas Phogg's on Wednesdays, drinking nickel beers from 4:30 to 8:30, and partying at Rosie's and Cheyenne. Years later, was dating an Irishman when Orlando hosted World Cup in '94, Downtown was party central back then, and Church St. was a big part of drinking adventures with Colm and his mates, along with all the other crazy soccer fans.

The Rosie's balloon was piloted by local hero Joe Kittinger - an interesting guy, and very nice...

Those posters show up around here occasionally, usually a bit pricey - last one sold on eBay sold for $84.99.

Holy cow! Went to the Rosie's Auction when the bankruptcy was settled. Could have gotten so many of these posters for so little money...darn!
