KOT, here are some photos with measurements - let me know if they are okay or not. On the tail I'm not sure what the purpose of that round spot is, looks like it was going to be punched out but never completed.

@cxgirl - I'm starting to think maybe your lamp was made from a Wyandotte Toy Co. China Clipper toy plane. Or it might be possible that Wyandotte was contracted / commissioned by the lamp maker...?

According to this toy collector blogger, there were at least four versions of the Wyandotte China Clipper. Lots of pictures on the Blogger page at the link below.

I had the same thought, but image search didn't come up with any lamp versions of the Wyandotte China Clipper; maybe just a one-off, or simply little-known -- or needs better googling!

 

@lauragarnet you are simply amazing, thank-you for finding this How on earth do you find these sites? You are right, this is the body of the Wyandotte toy plane. Interesting to see the different examples - there are 2 different tail fins shown in those photos. I notice mine isn't painted inside but they are in the link.
I found one posted on Collectors Weekly, the person bought it a couple of weeks ago and they are also in BC (I thought that was a little strange). I will have to update the information there.

all-fakes, in the beginning I though a one-off but now don't think so as there are others out there. Who made them I don't know.

EDIT: actually the rear slot, photo right, could be extended but the other is an issue so no.

 

If it was identical, but for that, it may make a good pattern.
