    Hi Milt,
Thanks for the memory. I have 6 or 7 lamps without shades as it is. If it did not have someone elses name and date, I MIGHT. If I remember correctly mine had green flocking on the bottom. Do they even have shop in schools anymore? We had one fourth semester of wood shop, one fourth metal shop, one fourth mechanical drawing and damn if I remember what the fourth was. Milt, I am tempted.

Nice one, Milt. Maybe even a bit earlier than 40's? I bet Brad knows.

The crystal certainly has seen better days. Do you know how many years of service it takes to get one of those pins, Terry?

That link says they were made of antique gold. I wonder what the significance of that is?

    Hi Book,
I think it refers to the color of the gold, not that it is "old".

I got lucky yesterday at an estate sale, most items were marked $5.00 or less - Alex Colville 'Woman and Terrier' print, nice office chair - I don't know why I'm surprised at how fast a cat shows up when I set down a chair, the airplane lamp, 3 Aerial Age Weekly magazines and a Stangl pottery coffee pot that looks like enamel.
