Vintage Gold tone rose tie tac or lapel pin?

    I have this rose tie tac or lapel pin? It is missing the chain and bar. The rose is about 3/8" diameter. I would like to find out if this is a lapel pin or tie tac, the decade it is from and the material. Does this rose look gold toned or silver toned?Thank for your assistance in this request. Rob

    Looks like plated base metal with the plating wearing off.
