Keep and eye out for lost Czobel and Bereny works

    A good friend of mine who works for the Hungarian National Gallery has been looking for lost Czobel and Bereny works for some time. He spotted a Bereny painting a couple of years ago in a Stuart Little movie and eventually tracked it down! Now he has an exhibit in Szentendre, the historic artist community outside of Budapest, focusing on the lost works of Czobel. He's still looking for Bereny works too!
    Keep your eyes peeled, you may find a lost Avant Garde masterpiece.

    A lot of lost paintings aren't really lost; they're just hiding. A lot of us will be keeping our eyes peeled in thrift stores and estate sales from now on!

    There's also a website devoted to stolen art. You never know. Some old lady might have it hanging over her kitchen stove.
