UK history newspaper scrap book

No questions about this just posted for interest.
I saved this from being thrown out and it’s got some fascinating bits of history in it.
Not quite sure what to do with it but I may see if the archives want it.
Mainly from 1952/3

 

Fun, so much history. I especially like 'Television comes to the Midlands'.
The Haile Selassie clipping could be of interest to the Rasta crowd.

 

Looks interesting .. I was still in England during that time, wish I could read some of it .. the print is too small for my fading eyes. Good job for saving it .. Joy.

It is. He drove through our village when he was in the Netherlands. My brother still remembers seeing him throwing money out of the car at the Dutch peasants.

 

That's one way to gain popularity!

 

Of course the Dutch peasants paid Ethiopia back a million times through aid, but it's the thought that counts.

We have sold similar American scrapbooks in the $30-$40.00 range so don't discount them entirely.

 

Maybe I will try listing it first before donating it then!
