    thanks!

On the other side of this reeded coin is a depiction of a balance flanked by wheat heads on the right and coins on the left, surrounded by the inscriptions “One Troy Ounce” and “.999 Fine Silver” to indicate its weight and silver content. On the outside, the words “Silver Trade Unit” capture the coin’s purpose. The mark of American Precious Metals, a small “APM” just beneath the scale, completes the reverse side. These beautiful coins are a great way to inspire your friends, loved ones, and co-workers and to spread the message of Freedom.

i don't even see why the date matters.....it's not a currency face value coin...it's a one ounce round...???

If it weren't molded like a coin, it would probably be considered an ingot.

Komo........i like to know as much as i can about the pieces i come across......including how long they've been in existence. I get that it's one ounce. Thanks for your input.

Oh, ok then...just for your own personal knowledge...
Well like I said....go to the guys selling these rounds...or the company making them....& maybe you'll find out how long this design has been in production.

    Happy New Year !

@StumptownJoe Have you tried Bellevue Rare Coins? I know this isn't a coin, but my impression is that they might know about this sort of item.

I've never seen a silver trade unit round earlier than the 70's. I think there were a lot made late 70's and 80's. Most I've seen were in that time frame. This one looks newer though. I would bet heavily against it being older than that but I could be wrong. Maybe worth a max of $5 over spot and likely just spot or spot plus $1-$2. Sometimes you can eek out that $5 if you get someone wanting one with a certain year on it to commemorate something. I've paid a small premium for the birth year of my siblings. If you happened to have the only one on Ebae with a certain year and someone needed a gift ASAP you could possibly realize more I guess. Some rounds like these will have engraving done by the mint on the edge if you haven't looked yet.

I could see someone paying a little more for the design.....but it's still just an ounce of silver...
