Translucent Red Venus De Milo Figure

Weighs about a pound. Not sure what it is made of or who made it. Thanks for having a look and for any comments.

Does it glow in the dark?

 

Yes, I've seen them, but never one this color or with the translucence.

Mine is some sort of resin or plastic, D.

 

It looks like it is made of red lucite?

The chips on the base look like it could be.

 

That looks to me like a rather poorly done cast resin (why is her arm wrinkled?), they didn't even grind off the bottom - possibly unsuccessfully intended to look like a Dorothy Tharpe piece...

Yah it looks like a late-1980s experimental art piece.
I don't think it's anything worth much, jmho.

Thanks, Cheryl, the Tharp one stands 25" tall and looks nothing like the OP's, so I don't think it's the same brand. The bases don't look similar to me either.
