Found this Vase at an estate sale with no marking or hallmarks. Anyone recognize the item?

Hello, Jose. Looks really interesting, moon vase shape. More members will be able to see it if you go back, edit your post by choosing More Options, then changing all your pix to full size.

I was just checking in to see if anyone had added anything that would actually be useful to Jose, wasn't expecting this love fest. :shy: Thank you both.:kiss:

It was a general term applied, not necessarily always accurately, to porcelain that was heavily painted, often floral, many times unmarked. I picked it up from my mother, who grew up in the American Midwest in the mid-20th century.

Where did your photos go? We needed them larger, not invisible. The side & bottom views are still important.

    Agree with Don-
    This is Japanese Moriage
Most likely late 1800s. Which makes it Nippon.

    Nice colors.

That's the kind of Nippon that's desirable!

    Beautiful!

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

I'm glad that you copied the photo, since his original pics are no longer there!
