I know I've seen this kind of dressing before, but can't place it. It's driving me nuts.

I think it's Kris Kringle so German or nearby I should think.

I thought maybe Norwegian. I'll try looking under German though.

I don't know why it looks so familiar to me - the colors but mostly the stitching. It reminds me of something I've had or seen before.

I follow a Facebook page called the Golden Glow of Christmas Past. Those folks are experts in collecting and I've seen a couple of pieces like this. I'm stealing the photo and posting it there for a reply. I'll let you know what they say.

Two different folks on the Glow site told me they are for sale at craft shows and are circa 1990. Those people are die hard collectors and experts so I'd guess they are to be believed.

Thank you Cxgirl. I looked at the photos and read some of the text. A few years ago when the aluminum trees became the retro rage, I found a nice one at a shop in NH (I'm in Ma) and sent it to my son for Christmas. He loved it then, and still loves it now.:shame:

I have a perfect, in it's essentially mint box, 3' aluminum tree. Unfortunately some clownfart put a too high wattage bulb in the color wheel fixture and warped it. A common occurrence actually and far more so than sense. :p
I have used them a time or two . :)
