:hilarious: I vote watermelon. An awfully serious group for fruit, though. ;)

    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

I'm in the watermelon camp... the horizontal stripes brought me there.

    EDIT
They're handsome melons... and gentlemen, aren't they? They look related to me. I'm pretty sure that three brothers grew three melons, competing for the largest. The guy on the left is about to weight and judge. The winner gets the satchel (foreground) full of cans of hair pomade.

One sign says "wells Fargo Travelers checks sold here" or something like that.

Can't quite make out the year on the calendar. The photo is a brown tone.

    Two doctor's bags?

Terry, if the month is September and if it is a USA calendar, here are some possible years for the calendar:

    1897, 1909, 1915, 1920, 1926, or 1937 (based on "Sunday" dates of 5, 12, 19, 26). ;)

By sight it looks most like 1903. The third number is wider than the second which is most likely a 9. It could be one of those calendars which has Sunday as the seventh day.

Looking at the digital picture I can see 1943 which fits with Saturday the Fourth of September. I can't see that on the original with a loupe.

    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

And... in "Famous Parrot Owners News"...

Teddy Roosevelt, Jr. and Hyacinth Macaw.
Some Duchess or other in England with an undetermined Amazon.
Vincent Price with an African Grey... sadly, this bird has plucked his neck/chest feathers, a sign of stress or sadness... I hope he got better.

Found in an old suitcase full of postcards that my aunt collected plus some of her old birthday cards, letters, etc. Looks like it was removed from one of those cardboard frames. No idea who he is, but he must be one of her beaus or she wouldn't have kept it with her papers. Doesn't look like my cousin, so it's not her Dad. I know he was in the Navy and died when his boat sank in the 20s. IMG_7404 (662x800).jpg
