Is This Glass Head Kosta Boda?

Can anyone tell me if this glass head is Kosta Boda? It's similar to some I've seen, except it has some wires in it. It's signed illegibly.

I wonder what the wires held.

None of the Kosta Boda heads I've seen had that rough texture or the type of multicolor layers your's has.

I have to agree, Bev... all the heads I've seen are much more refined and... un-wired. I did find one with a slightly-textured surface (below) but even it just has much more realistic and balanced features.
You have a real fun thing there, though, Gale...
It vaguely reminds me of something I can't quite bring to mind... if ever it comes to me, I'll tell ya!

Now I remember... this guy, Noel Miller, did some masks and heads and paintings paying tribute to Kosta Boda style. This is the only example I could find... very loose resemblance. I guess I could see him or somebody similarly inspired making something like your item. First Photo.

Second Photo. I looked for the most extreme examples that are reportedly real Kosta Boda... I found some really ODD ones... here... but no wires, ever. The one below was called a "mask", not a head.

This is one of those times when I feel like I know less about something AFTER I researched it!

The first name looks like Diane and thought Diane Ferland who does sand cast glass, but the last name looks like it starts with a T.

Holly, you're a genius! I think that is an F, and I looked up that artist... she makes stuff VERY MUCH like our friend here! Just Google "Diana Ferland mask"!!!! Haven't found one with wires *IN* it yet, but she does use them to mount her faces.

Thanks so very much! Thought I had posted a thanks earlier, but I'm new to the board and not very savvy yet on how to use it. Before posting this inquiry to the board, I searched all over the Internet with various key words and never did find Diane Ferland. I'm sure it's hers, I've looked at the signature again, it is a fit. Thanks again!
