Edmundo M. piece certainly looks like tourist art. Andean scene. My guess Ecuador as looks like Cotopaxi in background. Woman in front wearing traditional Andean costume - short full skirt, hat.

It's really just a peaked roof. Found all over the world, including the Andes. (With a quick internet image search, found example from Peru.)

Looked carefully and first name looks more like Edmundo to me.
