    Hi, I have just seen this post. I currently have two paintings by Norman Alexander (born 1915) and about 15 years ago I had another three oils by him, all of west London. One I have now has a Redfern Gallery label from the 1950s - it was bought originally by the county of Somerset for their collection. I think your painting of Newhaven is likely to be 1960s in date, partly because the artist was at the 75 Clancarty Road address for most of the 1950s and secondly stylistically it is rather different from his paintings from the 1940s and 1950s. If I knew how to do it I would post images of mine! Regards, Grant Waters
