Found this today scanning a thrift store cart of books about to be put up. Saw the binding and instantly knew it was an older book. Saw the cover and instantly knew no matter how old it was coming home with me. Its so unique! The illustrations bring me slight joy in their quirkiness. If I wouldnt feel guilty as sin Id pull the illustrations out and frame them. Since I will be selling this book in the near future I searched and found only 1 on ebay (really, the only one I found regardless) with 12 bids, ending at $67.66, so Im guessing there is some kind of collectable value? Does anyone know anything about this book?

The Abe Books one is called out as a first edition so something should be there. Page(s) missing? ~ YAY! NO parting!!!
Yours doesn't look like its properly bound to me. Maybe someone added black tape to cover a lost spine.

I thought they were pods or eggs - we see these on the shoreline here sometimes, and always identified them as shark eggs: so fascinating - she's holding toys, I believe... lurv
You know I just realized what it makes me think of... One of my favorite childhood movies. The Incredible Mr. Limpet
I put it in my booth last night for $35, sold some time this morning. Honestly, Im surprised because some books sit and sit. I hope they enjoy it!
