Featured Lamps and lamps, show your lamps?

There have been a few threads with lamps. I have been hiding my eyes lately when I see some lamps because I just have too many and can't keep bringing them in. I thought it might be fun to see lamps that everybody has. I'll throw up a few of mine, not great lamps but more than I need for sure. (These are just quick photos so they are pretty bad.)

Sis you have some fabulous lamps I'm like you, always hauling them home. My favourite is one from a local hospital - I'll post a photo when I get home.

 

Oooo , I really like the orange lava one ! Heres the pain in my ass lamps that JUST wont work with any size shade . Arent they too cute ?

Oooo that chandelier is so much heftier than any I have. I like it! Johnny those lamps are so sweet but as you can see I struggle with shades myself. Rarely do any I have work right and I never can seem to find something right when I'm out. So.... I have a pile of shades looking for the right lamp too.

 

I'm a sucker for lamps as well. A search of my files turned up 37 without really getting into a search. Some I still have, and some are gone. I winnowed then down to a dozen, and the files aren't huge, so here goes:

This first because it's the only one I'm currently using. It's my bed lamp.


This was a German art pottery lamp from the Steingutfabrikan (earthenworks) Velten-Vordamm, c1920s. It was in horrible condition, but still sold and went back to Germany. The harp was unusual - a solid piece of cast iron. I sold it separately and it went to Japan.


This is a cameo carved seashell lamp, probably Italian:


A wooden spool floor lamp with a cast iron base:


A hand painted custard glass lamp. A table lamp but large... about 19" to the top of the glass sections:


A pair of Aladdin Alacite lamps with original finials:


A Scottie box lamp (die cast dog on top):


A spun fiberglass MCM lamp:

A 1960s/70s mushroom lamp:

 

Hi @Rayo56 ! You can load a photo several ways depending on where it's stored. The photo can't be too large or it won't load so try keeping it under 1000K.
You an use the button to load from your computer or the mountain icon above to load from a webpage. Some photos you can just copy and paste.

 

moreotherstuff those are wonderful! I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that covets lamps. (I have more too)

In have lamps that I love, but they're all modern except for this one, which you folks here helped me identify and value. It's a 1930s Alacite Alladin Bedside / Nightlight lamp with original finial.
Now I'm ashamed I didn't get it a shade yet. Soon! Then first picture is my lamp... the second is somebody's idea of a good shade (with link). Nope, nope, nope... right?

You have a wonderful Art Deco lamp. Ditch the "Victorian" shade. JMHO

Moreotherstuff, that cameo lamp is beautiful times 10. I immediately thought of it taking its place of honor on a lady's glass-topped vanity with a mirror placed to reflect (at least some of) the lamp. Oh my goodness.

Hi Here you go. Some of my favorite lamps.
A is my Vaseline and Jadite lamp from the 20s. It really glows under a black light.
E is a tiny Bakelite lamp from 1920s
H is the dreaded lamps with plastic beads
K is the lamp given by Charmar who painted it flesh with a blue ribbon.
J. is 15 pound bedside lamps from 1910
