Do OLD finds count??? Since I have amassed a houseful and barn of "junque" php7GP6wBAM.jpg php0LfeuIAM.jpg I really don't allow myself the pleasure of shopping and picking anymore. In fact, when I sort through my numerous containers, its like Chrristmas as a lot of the items I forgot I had?

I found these a couple weeks ago. The pile was stored in a boot box to be sorted but forgotten. phpSMgXniAM.jpg phpvE1vqVAM.jpg

might help you with the corkscrew

Open razors in decent condition can do very well, but you seem to have accumulated all the least sought after of the clock world. :-(

Well, my corkscrew is marked Italy and not collectable. I will have to go through all my kitchen drawers to see if I have any worth their space,LOL

I've thinned mine out a lot, but still have what I liked best, mostly.

Great finds as always Sharona! Love the pics, spirit! That shed is beautiful and looks full of treasures, af :) Beautiful.

At Nuff - agree 100% with what you said regarding how you were raised. My entire youth, my grandfather would always say to me 'Don't do a job if you are not going to do it right!!' - he had polio and for 15+ years, I did chores for him, the lawns, garbages, go to the dump, etc. We became very close and it broke my heart when passed a few years ago.

Often I think when I want to stop listing for the day or stop chores around the house.. or not do the flea market this weekend in the blasted heat (I only sell once a year to get rid of 'junk'), his words always come to mind instantly and put me back on track. That is the probably the most valuable lesson I ever learned.

Funkey, my granddad raised us along with my Mom, he was like our Dad. I miss him so to this very day and we lost him in 1959. Sorry for your loss as well.

    Nice Finds everyone!

@Sharona, I like that cloisonne vase. Would love to see some better images. Is that the piece you said is in rough condition? Also, yes, my DH is my "body double". Lol! We pretty much work great together as a team. He'll hit the fleas, I'll hit the sales. Or I'll hit the fleas and he'll hit the sales. I'll work the internet auctions and he'll hit the auctions in the field. Or he'll work the internet auctions and I'll hit the auctions in the field. etc. etc.. etc...

@Funky, thank you! The words left behind and lessons learned by those we love seem to always stay etched and imbedded within the soul. I thank God for my parents and am very grateful that they're still here to help guide me if needed. They are, and will always be, the greats gift/finds I could have ever received in life along with my DH and children. I'm truly sorry to hear the loss of your granddad. My condolences.

A couple of early-20th C. boxes. The first Japanese cloisonne and the other, Chinese pewter with semi precious stones and porcelain finial. What's cool is it still retains its original glass insert.

At first glance my thoughts were Asian. Than I started to doubt those thoughts when I couldn't find another example. I searched and searched and searched, but nothing! Then BAAMMMM! I found one (please see below)! The auction house described it as Chinese, Ming (1368 - 1644) Period. The glaze is sacrificial-red if I'm not mistaken and this thing is HUGE for an askos. Sitting at approx 20 x 14 inches. Just an awesome piece IMO.
