    Can someone tell me what this carved cigarette holder is made from and how old it might be? Measures 5 1/4" long.

    Are you talking about what I circled in blue? If so maybe someone used wax to attach it to something. There should be no wax if using for smoking.

    It's reading as ivory from here, but pix are not clear enough & close enough for a high level of confidence. It has not been used for smoking & is so roughly cut, have to think it is fairly new. Might have guessed Celluloid if it weren't so flammable.
