Featured Mexican Silver Jewelry - Opalescent Cabochons?, Age?

I purchased two Mexican Silver necklaces yesterday and was waiting for the sunlight today as I couldn't seem to capture the opalescence and luminescence of the material used to create the cabochons of this first one. I wasn't as successful as I had hoped as it doesn't photograph well. I'm hoping someone will recognize the material anyway, and share it with me. It is quite beautiful in the light. The earrings don't match except for the cabochons. There may be a matching bracelet but they couldn't find it at the resale shop. The necklace is almost 17 inches and is heavy at 7.3 ounces. The cabochons are connected by links making it sit nicely when worn. No statement of age was given, so I'm hoping some search terms will help. I couldn't figure out the mark except for the 925. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

TL-75? With the 925 just barely below. But the top of the 9 is smooshed into the bottom of the L, making the combination look like a J. So T for Taxco, the L as the initial of the smith and #75 for his or her position on the list (with list cannot be found, so don't bother to look.)

Maybe on this thread, but since I really know nothing about the subject, it probably went in one ear and out the other. :)

That's okay. You're in a prime location for seeing Mexican jewelry, so you might want to bookmark it for future use.

Perfect. I don't believe they are opals, but glass made to look like opals yes. Very complex process to get them to look like that. This will give me great search terms. Thanks for your help.

HollyBlue I knew I could count on you to know what they were. This is great as I love art glass. Thank you.

They had the matching bracelet and put it aside so I could get it when I came back!!!!!!!!!. @Bakersgma you were absolutely right TL-75. The bracelet has the mark much more clearly stamped.

Pretty set, Kiko. Set with glass cabochons, as Holly said. They look very different from Mexican fire opals, and are not meant to deceive people into thinking they are.
Mexicans have a tradition of using pretty glass as well as gemstones.
Making this mottled glass is not very complex, btw, but the result is very nice and lively.
'Opal glass' jewellery has its own group of collectors, I believe @evelyb30 is one of them.

With thousands of Mexican silversmiths and just the tax registration code it can be very difficult to find the maker. TL75 is not in my Hougart.:sorry:
