~ I have a couple of bottles of Jersey Devil wine..... It's supposed to fly you know. Not sure what is on the cork and I should drink it soon anyway... ~
It looks post-Jurassic. It has wings. Warm-blooded... or it couldn't chase people at night. I declare it to be a bird. I want the cork, if it says something. PLEEEEEEEEEEEASE?????????????
TOLD ya I'd be using it a lot. I'm gonna thank you every time. I feel a white flag retains dignity... in contrast to yelling UNCLE.
Oh man! Several months ago I pitched a box of corks my mom kept. I would have gone through them if I'd known.
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKK!!!!!!!!! Can you go to the dump? Kidding! Can you? KIDDING. Thanks anyway!!!!

I just bought a huge lot of wine corks (on eBay) because I spied three bird corks... one that has a duck and the name "Lucky Duck", and one unlabeled winking owl, and one duplicate of a Rex Goliath that I already have. There are tons of wine cork lots on eBay... most are 25-100 in a lot... selling for a range of 1 to 15 bucks, usually. My order is less than 8 bucks, with shipping. I'll give the rest of the corks, the non-bird ones, to a sister-in-law who does craft projects with such stuff. UNLESS... does anybody want close to a hundred used wine corks???????????????????? I'll start a thread in GIVEAWAYS.
I am feeling extremely worldly today, as I have added two wonderfully exotic corks to my collection. And it's all thanks to Makanudo, our regular poster, Serbian Ambassador, and all-around fun guy. Here they are below. Thank you, Mak, sincerely. And in view of our recent "crash" here, I'd like to repeat something I said in a message to Mak. When I found this site, I fully expected to learn about art and antiques, and I have. What I didn't expect was the opportunity to learn in such a warm and personal way, and to make acquaintances around the world... learned, experienced, intelligent, generous, wonderful people. Y'all are all great. xo Gila
