Hello Board Friends - I haven't had much luck identifying the pattern or who made this molasses jug. It stands about 6 1/2" tall. I've also been playing a game of "what's the flower" and can't quite figure that out either. The flower reminds me a bit of a columbine but the leaves are more like a mum or a dandelion. Maybe a Venus flytrap? If anyone can help it would be much appreciated. Thank you!
    Don

I'm not quite sure. It looks like some type of mold mark maybe where the glass collected. There is a tiny hole there that goes in about 1/8" inch. One of our glass folks could probably explain it.

Yah at first glance, I thought the glass was too solid when molded, and it probably was. I just wanted to be sure it wasn't an intentional design.

    That's lovely.
I don't think it is American.
Possibly German or maybe English @Ownedbybear

    Any marks on the metal?

Thank you, cluttered. The metal is unmarked.

Fairly common motif around the 1900s.

Ok, glass, if you say so. It sure looks like pottery to me. Boy that flower is hard to figure out. I guess I'm no help at all. Sorry.

It is mold blown milk glass decorated to imitate pottery. I would try the Milk Glass or EAPGS group on FB.
