I confess, my favorite is the fried lobster at the Lobster Claw in Orleans. It is melt-in-your-mouth delicious.

I'm always worried about "running out" when "other people" are sitting around a communal stew pot. :hilarious:

Cape Cod clambakes have corn on the cob, potatoes, Portuguese sausage, cornbread and plenty of beverages so chances are nothing runs out and no one goes hungry.

Sorry about this one, too, Aquitaine. Don't know what the HUH refers to. The first sentence or the balance of the post?

Bev. That's where we ordered our ten or twelve lobsters when at Thumpertown. I will confess not only to never having eaten fried lobster, but admitting I never even heard of it.
    Certainly not fried live!!!!!!!!!!!

TOG....the "HUH" refers to "Question, please. Back then, heating oil was 15 cents. Gasoline was 25 cents. Both have gone down, but heating oil is now about twenty five percent higher than gasoline. Anyone know why? Last time I asked my oil company they said is because I "pick up my gas." They have to deliver my oil." Just me being a 'wise guy'!

You trying to steal my thunder? ;) = being a 'wise guy'?

Though they actually said that to me a few years ago when I asked why I pay more for

less refined oil? $3.50 for a gallon of gas and $3.95 heating oil. They said they burned

    gas delivering my oil.

Anyone see that gas in some parts of the country is going to drop below $1?

I had not heard that it would be quite that low, Bev, but here in WA (where we have one of the highest gas tax rates in the country) I'm seeing most stations in the very 2's and even a few at $1.95. The lowest prices since I moved here from MA in 2005. For some reason the Shell stations seem to think that $2.39 is the right price.

I paid $1.84 for gas last week. I paid $1.50 for heating oil on Friday. Heating oil here is always less than gas. With the mild weather we've had, until this weekend, this is the cheapest it has been to heat the house.

Bev, my friend drags me to Baxter's every summer for fried clams and chowdah and we have to sit outside on the harbah side no matter what the weather is like.

Unfortunately oil bounced up yesterday. 6% ?

TV news a few days ago were showing a few stations close to dolla and one featured at 99cents. Unfortunately I think it was somewhere in TX.

Mill Cove - outside on the harbah side - did you mean hahbah? :)
