    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

Well, my parrot is a Patagonian Conure. They all look alike. If you meet one, please take a picture!!!!!!!!!

    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

    Any pictures, pleeeeeeeeeeeease, Mr. Fun?????
I love pigeons. And doves. I have known a few pet doves... so sweet, so beautiful. I love that head-bobby walk! I'm Googling those pigeon types now. Edward Lear loved to do pigeons. A whole volume of the Naturalist's Library was devoted to them. I bet you'd enjoy leafing through that... or just Google Edward Lear pigeons and I bet you'd get an eyeful.
OMG I love how everybody is talking birds to me!

I also had a pair of ring-neck doves. I also had a parrot :) Unfortunately, I knew nothing much about parrots and the one I got was rather sickly and unfortunately died not long after I bought him. (It was small Green parrot, but damned if I can remember what type)

Oh, and I have also owned Finches

And sorry, no pictures of any of them :(

    Hi,
Living here in Jersey is a hoot. Our community pool is heated from the middle of April. Every year a couple of mallard ducks decided to use our pool for their own. We do not get to use the pool except from Memorial day. Finally several years ago someone with some sense strung fishing line crisscrossing the pool. The mallards have now nested in the tiny stream behind my house. Though I imagine
they still talk about the warm water pool that they had.

    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

I know my finches, too, Mr. Fun, including canaries. Love them.
I bet your little green guy was one of the small conures. My 30-year-old is a Patagonian Conure (the largest of the conures).
Ring-neck doves are beautiful. I also am partial to the humble little Mourning Doves that are so familiar out West.
Bird-keeping (legal and otherwise) is a big Mexican thing... parrots, passerines, pigeons, even some raptors. Roadrunners are frequently "lawn pets"... friendly, curious, and they love to beg for barbecue scraps.
Are you kind of a bird-perv too, Mr. Fun?

    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

Magnificent. Superstitious Mexicans call white ravens and crows "pajaros espectros"... spirit birds or ghost birds.
    He's one.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Gila, Sorry I didn't post the toucan print yet! I am now at work and will try to get to it tonight. Meanwhile, this site has the same one. I found it in my researches. Mine is framed, but it's definitely an original print from the period.

The frame on mine is relatively recent. It isn't really to my taste, but it's in great condition so I probably won't do anything to change it.

I love that pose, too. Thanks, Gif!! Did you say you have it on a wall? May I ask where?

It is not on the wall right now. I bought it almost a year ago and have not put it up yet. Right now it is leaning against a wall, on the floor. It is not really large. I just need to get around to redecorating.
