Featured Celluloid necklace? Other early plastic?

    Nice !!!
    I do collect old plastics since years and have found years ago that any car polish product (very cheap to buy from supermarket) works exactly the same as simichrome on bakelite. Best test for me to determine plastics is hot water - perfect to discrimine between celluloid, galalith, bakelite and lucite.. Some can be really disturbingly smelly.

    Unfortunately I am very bad at smelling plastics, even in hot water.:facepalm: Except when they burn, my body's reaction is similar to having a seizure, because I have porphyria. But of course no one wants to see jewellery burn anyway.
    Nice way of putting it.:D
