Featured Ruby and Gold bracelet, no marks

    Here's a bracelet from the same garage sale source as the Indian Enamel pendant.

    This one is also gold, and the rubies have been blacklit, so all good too. The box is an old Birks box I had kicking around so not original to the bracelet. Each hemisphere/link is attached with a pin "hinge", with a row of rubies that swing freely from side to side in the valleys. This one is being kept for my SO's 65th birthday prezzie...
    Not sure where it's from, thinking India though.

    GORGEOUS!!!!!! AND delicate looking!!!! Think I'm too rough for something as nice as that......I'm ALWAYS banging my hands/wrists/arms into SOMETHING!!! BUT I SO appreciate the beauty of this piece!!!! I'm SURE S.O. will LOVE it!!!!:):):):)

    Wow, blooey! It is gorgeous.
    Certainly South or Southeast Asia.
    Do you mean they fluoresce in UV light? Not all rubies fluoresce, if these do they are likely to be Burmese, very sought after.:)

    I suspect Indian made for the Dubai type market. Has that look.

    This, I believe, would have been made before Dubai? The previous (deceased) owner was rather ancient and most of the stuff originated from the 1950-60's, but maybe?

    Dubai's been around a long time. ;) Indian for Middle Eastern market, anyhow.

    Of course - when I said pre-Dubai, I was using Dubai as an adjective describing the obscene excesses associated with that city.
