    Hi,
Here is another painting I picked up. This is on cardboard or thick paper, 18" x 10". Has a pot mark texture on the front. Partial framer label in place but I can't make anything out on it.
Would this be considered folk art? I like this one, not sure why.
    Any information appreciated.
    thanks for looking.

Not folk art. Often referred to as a primitive decorative painting. It is a style prevalent in the 20s and 30s. It is the mass produced painting of it's day. You sometimes see these touted as Hudson River School but that also is a very big stretch.

    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

Hudson influence. Primitive? YES... hearty, soulful. Fishermen should love it. MY OL' MAN DOES!

I had good luck with amateur fishing-related pieces in the past, or one anyway. Fisherman spend silly money on gear in the vain hope of going from "fishing" to "catching" and will also spend money on fishing art.
