    Hi,
And I thought I was crazy spending 200 dollars for a blue star sapphire for my first wife in 1964.

Gila, you're getting better every day. Keep going that way and we''ll be seeing you at the Golden Globe and Oscars.

Moreotherstuff. Thanks, now I know what to do with most of my PowerBall loot.

The Great Auk's ghost rose on one leg, sighed, winked, and poached a phantom egg. And muttered, "I'm extinct."

    A rather enchanting passage, though!

quote Does anyone think it will sell for that much? unquote.

I don't know about anyone's around or if he/she shall answer, but my answer is a big fat NO!

There are many billionaires in the world but IMHO it's not a wise investment to take a chance on it increasing, or even holding, it's value. The De Beers monopoly is over but diamonds are still really too plentiful. Gold's a better investment.

Thanks for that site MOS. Very interesting. Never heard of most, and certainly didn't think there was anything worth one million per carat. Glad the ladies I knew didn't know it existed. :p

It IS most definitely lovely, but what the heck good is it.....can't wear it as a ring!!!

    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

I would strap that baby around my neck if it took a backbrace and a cane to get around.

Edit - a motorized wheelchair, if I'm wearing heels.

Gila, how many looks would you get with a baby bowling ball around your neck?

Sit in your wheelchair for a few minutes then take another look at that "stone."

I'll give you ten to one odds that NO-ONE in Starbucks will have the slightest idea what the X_)_# that blue ball is.

    Even polished.

OK with me. So long as you understand U.S. custom and laws.

Give me the engagement ring back.
