Last few weeks, I opened up a card board barrel for the first time since moving to WV back in 1976. I believe this wired doll chair was apart of the treasures that I found in it. I could not figure out which category to put it under like metal, art or furniture. The longest length from the back of the chair is about 3 1/2", the longest width from rocker is around 4" and the longest height from top of the back to the ground is 4 3/4" when the chair is rocked back or nearly 5 1/4" when the chair is not rocked at all. I was wondering if this is considered artdeco and the name of the company that made this and why this was made? Thank you for your help in this request. Rob

Looks like it was made from a soda can.

Homemade, most likely. Very cute though.

I remember them, too! I was so enchanted, i got the instructions from some mail order place and made my own.

I made precisely one chair (was not a pin cushion, btw, just a novelty item).

Decided it was way too hard to make another.

Cutting even strips was a real bear. :bucktooth::p
