A wall hanging? Depicting some kind of warrior in a mask or armor? No markings on the back? Sexton made a lot of painted cast aluminum stuff.

Yes wall hung, no markings look like medieval or ancient armor plaque

While it is indeed some kind of decorative depiction of a warrior, I get a kind of science fiction or fantasy vibe from it. It sure doesn't look like any kind of medieval knight's armor.

"Flat back", so is it solid and heavy or hollow and light weight?

It would probably help if you showed a picture of the back.

I was thinking it had the look of a replica of an ancient Oriental soldier/warrior armor but found nothing quite like this in Google searches.
