I picked this up as my daughters name is Alice and it looked like it needed a home!.
It's stamped 1888 and even though the silver has worn away almost completely you can still see the image of three men.
Someone has punched the name Alice on the other side. I did wonder about trench art?. Seems slightly odd to have a girls name with an image of three men?.
Do you think this locket started life as something else?.
I know it's of no value but I like to research what I can about it.
    Thanks
    :)

The 3 men look like Russian leaders to me.
1888 Alexander III was head boy and emperor at the time.

Ok, so Russian. Definitely a locket or started life as something else?.

I haven’t seen a locket yet, but seeing a similar shape case, legitimation papers dog tag. Can you open it easily? And show the inside?

Looks like a later monogram done in a different style, if that means anything.

I started to enhance the monogram, but the marks below are so odd...

Ok. I don't see much of a link between the 2 items other than the general shape and hinge at the bottom. I wouldn't put too much weight on that listing. I take it KSW's either does not open or had nothing inside?

Could you give a size measurement, KSW? You said "locket" (which to me means pretty small) but comparison to that later piece makes me wonder whether it's actually larger than I expected?

May very well be souvenir as stated above, but I’m not finding another. All I see so far, is the coin like medallion. Maybe someone else will find one. :)
