:(Not the texture nor the hue of a real pearl...
A shell called Tridacnas could have a pearl this big (even several kilograms...) but non nacreous:rolleyes:

It has a stippled texture, almost like an ostrich egg. I dunno what that means.

I think at the center of this pearl is a man-made seed with that stippled texture and that the nacre didn't fully cover it. I don't know what manufactured "seeds" exist, but perhaps this is worth a google? I did read that many pearl divers (Na Hoku, for example) use "seeds" from muscles from the Mississippi River. This does not seem to be the case.
Kyra, what if the seed was textured and not enough nacre grew to cover it? Is this a possiblity? That is what it looks like to me.

I've seen PAINTED pearls before, but this doesn't appear to be one.

But, it's enormous! Would they put such a large "seed" into a clam?

I guess a giant one like the tridacna, maybe??

Are you sure it's not glass? I mean, what were you told by the seller?

I'm thinking maybe the tridacna, but no idea really just a guess.

I would think glass would be much easier to tell from a pearl (even one with a thin coating) and OP hasn't mentioned it could be glass, although 19.3 grams sounds like an awful lot of weight for even a giant pearl. I haven't got enough experience with weights of small items (like joolz) to guess if it could be glass from the weight - Komo - do you know? Care to hazard a guess of glass based upon the weight?

What do y'all think about the chip? Does that look like glass?

@abdel Smooth (not about the visible surface texture!) or gritty when rubbed against your front
    tooth’s edge?

Not a glass. i'm sure ...you can see 4 small holes just to put the pearl.
My friend told me it was for the Jewish. They was in our city many years ago

Nacre, even if bad quality or too thin layer has a very different hue (the more layers it has, the more "life" the hue has.
The tooth:bucktooth: test will say if it is nacre:)

    Painful?:jawdrop::)
The feeling of gritty (check for a translation in your maternal language:)) is somewhat the equivalent of the awful sound a chalk can make on a blackboard can make to your ear;)

The best advice is to submit your piece in flesh to an appraiser:)
