Featured Pressed Glass Tankard

    Will take better photos in the morning.
    Not sure if "pressed" is the right term. The piece seems to have been blown in a mold.
    Any idea of the maker? Something is supposed to go on the top?

    U.S. Glass #15052 Illinois c1897; USG made these pitchers with a pewter spout affixed. so it is EAPG...

    If it is mold blown you should not have a smooth interior but one that mimics the design. The bottom looks like a "cut shut" technique used for items that are pressed upside down. Look like a syrup or molasses without its cover.

    I suspect you are correct in that it should have a lid. The bare area at the top of the handle likely had a metal hinge/clasp there.
    Looks formed to me as well.

    By the way, the piece is about 8 1/2" tall so unlikely for syrup.
