Cartier scarf?

Hi all.

Picked this scarf up a good while ago.
It measures approx 33 inches by 33 inches.

It came in box with a card also.

Am wondering can anyone tell if it authentic.I read a post here that saying avoid picking up designer but this certainly has a quality feel to it.

The first thing one looks for is a hand-rolled hem. Yours does appear to have one. Can you confirm?

Must de Cartier is a diffusion line that Cartier introduced in 1976. Yours (if genuine) might be a duty free item sold in Japan.

Well, frankly, it looks good to my eye. Correct colorway, correct hemming, correct logo. But, if your intention is resale, you'll have to have it professionally appraised. I've used this group before. Not expensive but not sure they do Cartier. You'd have to ask.

Re scarf shopping in the future... A hand-rolled hem is usually a good first indication that an item is of quality.

It looks like a gift-with-purchase to me. No idea what it's worth since I'd think it was real too.

 

That's an idea but... Would be an awfully expensive GWP and I don't think Cartier ever did them. (Did you know that Estée Lauder invented the GWP? Made her a fortune.)
