komokwa The Truth is out there...!

    Oh no you did-nt !!

I was watching Border Security on TV, and a couple were driving up from Wa State.
They declared 2 handguns, & when the officers told them they couldn't bring those into CANADA......the guy complained that he had a carry permit.
The officer told him that was only good in the USA, & the guy responded that he thought CANADA was just an ..." Extension " of the United States !!

The officers were bemused....but not impressed !!!

You M'ericans can be so funny !!!

He represents more of you than you may care to imagine.....

I know it's just a TV show.....and they pick what they want to show....the odd, the unusual ....but there's no end to it.

If you did that to Congress, I'd pay for tickets! Those guys need some major ego deflation; I'm surprised none of those gas bags has popped yet from internal pressure! As for the buttons, those are "service awards", given for years spent at a company. These days you're lucky to get a congratulatory email rather than a gold pin. The local power company was still giving out the gold ones in the mid 1980s, but they were atypical. Congrats on stealing that pile o'profit and I am officially jealous. I went to the one and only sale this weekend, a synagogue tag sale, and found one piece of jewelry worth buying. Costume.(sigh) OTOH I did score two pair of pants in my size. I like when that happens.

I always like these. The pinback collectors don't seem to. It's a mirror. Circa 1905.

I had a major score today. A brand new Marks and Spencer SPLENDID dressing gown with fake fur collar and cuffs. Tags still on it, my size, my colour.

THIRTY CENTS! Or twenty pence to us Brits.

I am dead chuffed with that. The antique stuff will be shown later, incuding the bog oak match striker.

Well, one good thing about your new dressing gown, you will be a woman who it will be relatively simple to find out if the collar and cuffs match..........................

I want to see the dressing gown! Thanks for asking, Greg, I have just been crazy busy. I don't do much in the winter treasure-hunting wise, pickings are slim then. Getting about 6 hours sleep tonight because I drank a giant Starbucks to stay up and wrap Christmas presents...tomorrow putting grave blankets down, Michaels had them 60% off then another 20%... they are smart, they clear out Christmas right before Christmas instead of the day after. :)
