I found this at my friend's thrift store today (along with a George Jensen sterling silver bread knife w/a cactus pattern on handle!)

I did a image search on this & the closet thing that came up was a Victorian dagger - is that what it is?
To me it looks like a dinnerware handle that someone attached a sharpened knife blade to. I was thinking (hoping!) it was civil war era.
PS - there are no markings on it anywhere that I could see.
Any information would be greatly appreciated!

It's the knife from a carving set - 1847 Rogers Bros. silverplate 'Columbia' pattern, introduced in 1893...

Ummm, 1893 would pre-date 1900. Since it's silverplate it has no intrinsic value, typically a carving knife without it's matching fork (sometimes also a matching steel) doesn't have much value, but it is an attractive pattern and not particularly common, someone might want it if they have an orphan carving fork or just like the pattern...

Edit: Never mind, see it's already been listed - hope it sells well...
