Featured New finds (mainly jewelry)from Tokyo flea market

Just got home and decided to share these. I bought these vintage tortoiseshell and coral jewels from a dealer in Tokyo. I believe these are all vintage as I have seen newly made ones sold for six to eight times higher in various shops with only tortoiseshell and coral.

this comb is rather interesting as it really made me think it’s real tortoiseshell. It’s not. Only cost me less than two GBP so all happy with it. Seller told me it’s likely 60 years old but I know nothing about these traditional stuff.

My mom noticed this hat and we paid only roughly 50 pence for it. Probably missing a thread to fix it on the head?

Lol I don’t know they were called pillbox hat, was thinking who would need a pillbox of that size haha

 

A favorite of a former first lady. She wore one at the inauguration and also in Dallas. The 1960s versions were somewhat different in size and placement as hair styles were fuller.

My grandmother had a feather hat like that. The V things were a place to put big hair pins or plastic combs. Elastic cord would work too.
