Featured Signed unframed oil help

hi folks

something else i found in a chazza yesterday. Its growing on me actually

guessing its a waterfall, but has a little surreal look about it

maybe a tad murky

signed or mark painted in bottom corner

has some flaking to bottom end

large 25 inches by 18

any thoughts or info would be a great help

 

Very nice. It has an Expressionist feel. I like Expressionist painting.

 

can't quite put my finger on the style, maybe a touch impressionistic as well in the top left side

 

MMI initials? The I is the largest letter so I would expect it to be the last name.

 

I had to look up 'chazza' because I'd never heard the term before.

Sorta impressionist mixed with surrealism. I like it. Id guess they were influenced by Van Gogh.

Me, too... and some of the things google was telling me were quite confusing!

 

That could be a tipo (where big auction was meant), as the i is next to the o on a keyboard
