I still use my humble Sony pocket camera for details. It always took better closeup pictures than my husband's fancy 'grown-up' cameras.
The Sony pocket does have a Zeiss lens, which helps a lot. In fact I selected it not only for its light weight, but also for the Zeiss lens.

The lens is the crucial thing. I’ve a Panasonic with a leica lens. Excellent thing.

I need to invest in a real camera. lol I swear my iPhone 12 took better pictures than this one.

I’m old enough to have used film cameras, and even did some black and white develope and print. I do find a real camera easier to control.

I too remember those days and every one on eBay just sold without photos because no one was going to bother developing and scanning the photos of product! :p:playful: Self-developing the black n white stuff was fun for artistic work though.

I eventually gave up the digital camera as my newer phone outpaced it. And now the time saved dropping photos from phone gallery to listing is great.
