    Here's a piece I just picked up-a 60 drawer watchmaker's cabinet.
It's designed to hold tiny watch parts (crystals, hands, gears, faces).
    Size-20 1/4" X 16" X 5" deep.
I'm trying to ID the Watch/Jewelry Store it came from.If you look at the latter pics You'll see a check glued to the inside of a drawer-it seems printed by a Tillamook,OR shop. There's a partial signature on the draft-'Isacc E.' (the rest's obscured). I'm guessing this was the firms owner (?).

Frequently I see remarkable items here that make me regret giving up 'the hunt' in thrifts, malls etc...an' this is high on that list, Bosko! What a delightful find!
Not that I have room for any more furniture...but had I found it, the petty issue of where oh where to put it would not have caused enough hesitation to notice. I am quite frankly envious of your great good fortune, sir...Bravo!

    Great piece

When you have time to kill, you can search the historic Oregon newspapers with different search criteria to see who was doing business in town back in the day.

I wonder what Stanley's-Tillamook in the lower left of that note refers to.

Thanks all-I was thrilled to find the possibility of a historical 'backstory' here. Strangely enough-I get a kick out of these old storage pieces.
I'd have a few old quality Tansu if i had big cash-starting with the old maritime iron-strapped type.
*Sabre-I think the 'Stanley's-Tillamook' imprint refers to the local printing shop that produced these forms.Frequently the small town local newspapers did these for side cash (perhaps not in this case).

Are all the drawer interiors the same...or are some divided or otherwise different?

Yes,i love it,and have played around with different drawer arrangements a few times. It's kind of like a very subdued, earthy Mondrian.

Here's all i found inside the cabinet.Interestingly, there were 5 tiny tins of 'Nite Lite Hands'-sounds like glow-in-the dark radium wristwatch hands to me ?

Given those labels, I think hands are for Waltham and Elgin pocket watches, not wristwatches.
