    That is a fantastic cameo!
...But I'm not seeing Queen V... she looks more like a generic Flora/goddess to me...?

Thank you! :joyful: The carving was done and signed by Lamant. I love the details he put into things like the swags, the tiny toes and the fat ankles. I posted her back on Jan 1.

The portrait is based off these 2 etchings from the time of Victoria's 1937 coronation. It took a bit of research to find them, but I'd an inkling it was her before I went looking.

It might be a bit before Bronwen checks in so be patient. :) That's a very sweet thing you're doing with your grandmother's beloved pin. I hope you wear it occasionally! She looks mid-century to me.

I certainly don't know as much as Bronwen but I'm going to say that it's first half of the 20th century. A generic "pretty lady" cameo.
I'm sure Bronwen will be more specific!

I agree with bluumz and mirana. A pretty lady cameo from the 1950s or so. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Thanks everyone! That rules out it belonging to her mother and more likely a gift from my grandfather. Excellent sleuthing everyone, very much appreciated!
