I found this in my parents closet. It probably dates from 1917-1930. It's signed by Alois Jirasek, and the paragraph reads "Moscow, the once powerful but now humbled mother, reminds you of the brutal forces that destroyed so many men of science, who need help." The stamp is from "The Committee to help Russian scientists (or intellectuals)" These were often used as the back of a matted print to keep.them hidden during communism. You can see the remnants of the matte on the back.
