IMG_0306.jpeg IMG_0307.jpeg Can you help me determine the year of manufacture and country of origin of this item (candlestick)? I have attached a photo.

It looks French to me, and probably one of a pair. This type of gilded bronze is known as ormolu.
The style is Rococo, which doesn't necessarily mean it is of the period.

Could we see the bottom of the base please?

Here is the bottom. There is a metal circle which I inserted to hold it better.
    It is a wooden base

The photo is very small, but it seems to have nice wear, which I would expect for an antique.

I hope the others can tell you more.

Enlarged 3X.....what I circled in red looks to me like a number "3" inside the shape...but am not sure what that means, which others MAY know???!

How heavy is it? Is it only that section wood? I know very little but bronze looks weird to me. I will google ormolu now and learn :)

Thanks. Are you sure? That sounds way too light to me. How tall is it? Do you own this or are you looking to buy?
So the last photos in the ad are exactly same Alexander’s.. So..?
